• In NEW MUTANTS #19, Danielle Moonstar is in surgery, barely hanging on to life after being mauled by the Demon Bear. How does Sunspot, a man of action, deal with waiting outside the operation room? He writes a Shakespearean Sonnet poem.

NEW MUTANTS #41 1/2: Silent Submission [12K]

• While the other New Mutants were busy getting killed by the Beyonder and joining the Hellions, Roberto da Costa was on a leave of absence, having gone back home to Brazil to contemplate his role in life, his place in the New Mutants, and his relationship with his parents. This is a little piece about him back home and has the dubious distinction of being my first fic to feature the screwed-up da Costa family life, such as it is, in its fullest.

NEW MUTANTS #42 1/2: Home Is Where the Heart Is [15K]

• After the New Mutants were killed by the Beyonder, the team's leader Danielle Moonstar aka Mirage decided to take some time off and go back home to her parents' ranch in Colorado. Some of her time there was shown in NEW MUTANTS #41. However, in #43 she was back at Xavier's School with no explanation offered. Why and how did she go back? This story deals with that.

• After the X-CUTIONER'S SONG, the young adults of X-Force were held captive at the X-Mansion, as seen in X-FORCE #19. One of the scenes in the issue was a talk between Stevie Hunter and Sunspot at the lakeside. This story elaborates and extends on that scene.

But who was the fourth person who completed the quartet of these fast friends, and where is she now? Takes place before X-FORCE #26, with plentiful flashback sequences set before NEW MUTANTS #1.

• In X-FORCE #28, Sunspot and Locus were lost in space-time due to a teleportational accident. They spent time roaming various timelines on a Cross-Time Caper of their own, before getting back to our timeline. In this story we get a glimpse of an alternate timeline where a younger Gambit is a member of the New Mutants for the team's first jaunt to Asgard.

Valentine's Night [39K]

• Before the battle with the new Hellions in X-FORCE #87-90, X-Force had some down time while living in their new warehouse headquarters in San Francisco. So what do they do? Angst about their love lives, duh. Some of them don't bother to angst, though, and instead have some hot sex. Guess who? No, it's not Roberto and Dani... Oh, and there's a gratuitious Deadpool appearance that's guaranteed to blow your knee off!

• This is a four-issue Limited Series which basically serves as the genesis for Roberto's Fallen Angels team. Each issue will focus on one character who will become a member of the team, and try to estabilish who that character is, and how I see them.

• Soon after the formation of the Fallen Angels, Sunspot demonstrates that his words (about being more proactive in order to make life better for the people important to him) weren't empty. In order to resurrect Warlock, he has to go back in time to the era just after OPERATION: ZERO TOLERANCE, and go thru Excalibur and the X-Men to bring back his old friend. Will he succeed? And what will the attempt cost?

• A book-length non-stop action epic chronicling the first meeting between Roberto's Fallen Angels and X-Force, during a crisis in China. Springs off the events of X-FORCE ANNUAL #3. 75% done.

• Illyana Nikolovna Rasputina aka Darkchilde as an actress? Believe it! In this little character piece Illyana is rehearsing for her role as Lady Macbeth, and drags her fellow Fallen Angel Sunspot to help her out by reading Macbeth's parts. Romantic tension ensues.

• This story takes place shortly after In the Shadows of the Future. Like that story, this one is also largely non-stop action as X-Force goes toe-to-toe with the Marauders, no holds barred. However, this story has an additional element mixed in -- a romantic triangle which reaches the boiling point and explodes in everyone's face while the team is in enemy territory.
